The country is set to become the first nation to attain official ‘smoke-free’ status alongside Sweden.

Much of this outstanding smoke-free success in New Zealand is primarily due to the widespread use of vaping products that deliver nicotine without combustion, as well as the adoption of other non-tobacco alternatives to smoking.

New Zealand’s game-changing strategy, which remarkably reduced its smoking rate to less than 5% of the population in just five years, is the guide that Africa requires further to accelerate a decline in smoking rates on the continent.
